In high school and college I did not care for the track. However, now in my mid-30's I love my weekly track workout. More so I have enjoyed the Blue Shoes track meet. How come we do not do more track meets as adults? Having lived in Germany for a number of years; I was able to see first hand how each community has their own sports complex. Most complexes have a track and programs for 6 year old children and up through masters. They continue to race on the track from childhood through adulthood.

If you have not done a weekly track work out...I suggest finding a track and doing some intervals...of course build up slowly. You may find you like the rhythm and simplicity of the track.

Great read on what coaching means

Great read below on what coaching means and advice on training>>

http://www.dyestat.com/?pg=us-Misc-Features-McCue-Features-Things-Ive-Learned-Newton

Intro

Runners:

Currently I am enrolled in the Command and General Staff college and we are required to do a blog.
