The below link talks on the controversy of the slower folks churning out in droves to run the marathon. I really do not have a side in this except that maybe the number of deaths in the marathon could be attributed to more folks taking on the distance without training properly.

ReplyDeleteAnd lets face it, lowering the bar happens all the time with everything. Ask anybody that claim to be "computer literate" to explain rudimentary logic and get a blank start in return. Driving ? if you have a drivers license you are a driver, or so the law says. The list goes on.
ReplyDeleteI've long since come to the conclusion that road races are named wrong. They should be called "fitness runs". I think I did a blog posting on this sometime..
